Medical Receptionist - Coffs Harbour, NSW | Part-time
We’re growing and looking for a friendly, organised, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our busy and modern GP practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive team and play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our community.
About the Role
As a valued member of our front desk team, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals. You’ll help create a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment while supporting our GPs and clinical team in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients with professionalism and care
- Manage appointments, phone calls, recalls, and general enquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records, referrals, and Medicare checks
- Process billing, receipting, and payments
- Perform data entry, scanning, and document management
- Coordinate patient care and follow-up requirements
- Handle correspondence and general administrative tasks
- Support clinicians with daily workflow and operations
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality and privacy standards
About You
- Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration (preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
- Confident using practice management systems and general IT
- Friendly, professional, and team-oriented approach
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
