Barista: Landmark Current Restaurant at The Powerhouse Parramatta

We're opening a landmark restaurant at The Powerhouse Parramatta, one of Western Sydney's most anticipated cultural destinations, and we're looking for an experienced Barista to help bring it to life. Our culture is built to spark your creativity and curiosity, and to celebrate the natural talent you bring to the coffee machine.

We're now recruiting Baristas to join our opening team, focusing on exceptional coffee and warm, memorable service (both full-time, part-time and casual opportunities available). Working closely with restaurant management, you'll help create a coffee experience that keeps diners, visitors and locals coming back.

JOB SUMMARY

You’ll run daily coffee and alcoholic beverage service, support menu development and upsells, and back up the floor team during peak periods. You’ll be committed to continually improving guest and team satisfaction, and to keeping quality consistent in every cup.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Welcoming guests, listening to their preferences,



making recommendations and taking orders.

Preparing and serving espresso-based coffees, teas, cold drinks and specialty beverages to a consistently high standard.

Delivering quality coffee art and presentation.

Learning the menu and keeping guests informed about new seasonal drinks, specials and food pairings.

Operating, cleaning and maintaining the espresso machine and grinder, including dialling in the grind throughout service.

Conducting regular stocktakes, managing inventory levels and ordering supplies so the coffee station is always well-stocked, while minimising wastage.

Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.

Handling cash, credit and debit card transactions accurately, returning correct change and balancing the register.

Keeping the coffee station and dining areas clean and tidy.

Recommending and upselling signature drinks and food pairings to guests.

ABOUT YOU

Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing and latte art

Experience in stocktaking, inventory management and ordering supplies

Strong cash handling and POS skills

A passion for coffee, great service and working as part of a team
