Our client operates a modern production facility in Melbourne's north, specialising in extrusion and flexographic printing across polyethylene films, delivering custom packaging solutions to major clients across Australia. This is a permanent, full‑time role working a day shift in a hands‑on, technology‑focused production environment where print quality and safety are paramount.
About this opportunity:

- Full training provided: 2-3 weeks onboarding and shadowing before working autonomously

What you'll be doing:
- Assisting setup and operation of flexographic printing presses to production schedules
- Supporting ink preparation, mixing, and colour management
- Assisting with print registration, impression,
and colour consistency monitoring
- Identifying and reporting print defects to the lead printer
- Supporting press maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers
- Safe handling and palletising of finished product
- Completing production and quality documentation
- Learning flexographic printing operations through hands‑on experience
To be considered for this role:
- Willingness to learn and develop trade skills in flexographic printing
- Any relevant manufacturing, printing, or production experience is a bonus (but not essential)
- Machine operation experience is advantageous
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical processes
- Capable of manual handling tasks and palletising
- Strong attention to detail with genuine commitment to safety
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a team
