As a key member of the Payroll Team, you will support and share responsibility for the group’s weekly payroll function, including serving as a point of contact for our time and attendance system (Humanforce).
The role will be an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join and develop within a collaborative, supportive team environment with a company growing at an exciting pace.
Key Responsibilities / Core Duties
You will be responsible for playing a key role in the well-established payroll function, including:
- Accurate and timely delivery of the weekly payroll process for your portfolio of Centres
- Completing the employee pay cycle from onboarding to offboarding
- Ensuring the employee Masterfile records are maintained and up to date
- Processing and checking electronic timesheets, all applicable leave and statutory entitlements and payroll deductions
- Calculating backpays, terminations and employee changes
- Dispense workers compensation payments, including the efficient processing of wage reimbursement claims
- Assisting the broader Finance team with any reconciliation / accounting procedures connected with the payroll function
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high volume payroll
- Strong payroll and time and attendance systems experience (Attaché and Humanforce experience preferable but not required)
- Experience with interpreting and applying up-to-date awards and pay guides
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated and results oriented with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels
- Attention to detail whilst still being able to meet deadlines
- Proactive, problem-solver and able to manage your own workload
