- Experience in stock control and warehouse / storage practices and procedures, including those required for flammable and / or toxic stores.- Productive time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks as demands arise and with competing priorities.- Problem solving and ability to apply a range of problem-solving strategies and show initiative in identifying and solving problems.- Planning and organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.- Knowledge of stock taking processes.- Demonstrated ability to listen, understand and speak clearly to a wide range of audiences.- Hazardous chemical handling.- Well developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.
Other conditions and requirements
- Whilst there are no mandatory requirements for this position, possession of the willingness to obtain a current 'C' class drivers licence would be highly desirable.- There may be instances where the incumbent will be required to work hours outside the normal work hours, undertake travel to other locations, or temporarily work from an alternate location.
