About the role
As a Leisure Therapist within the Youth Cancer Service, you'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide age-appropriate, patient-centred leisure therapy interventions that support the emotional, social, physical and psychological wellbeing of young people affected by cancer.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: * Complete accurate and timely reporting of service statistics. * Represent the RBWH Youth Cancer Service on relevant committees or team projects as they arise or as delegated. * Provide education, direction, delegation, and clinical supervision for routine tasks to Clinical Assistants and work experience students with the support of senior clinical staff. Where appropriate, act as primary supervisor for student training. * Monitor and provide specialised reports on Leisure Therapy clinical practices, and outcomes and apply clinical knowledge and skills to initiate, develop and implement innovative, sustainable solutions via quality and service improvement initiatives that enhance the delivery of services.
