Your Impact
You will lead Catholic Mission's national schools fundraising and engagement strategy, with a strong focus on growing revenue, developing strategic relationships and creating new opportunities.
A significant part of the portfolio is Socktober, Catholic Mission's flagship national fundraising campaign for World Mission Month. You will grow its reach and revenue, strengthen existing partnerships and identify new opportunities to expand its impact.
This is a role for someone who can think strategically about fundraising, partnerships and growth - and then make things happen.
The Role
This is a national leadership role focused on fundraising, partnership development, stakeholder engagement and growth.
You will manage and develop existing relationships across the schools program while identifying and securing new opportunities nationally. You will also lead the delivery and growth of Socktober and a geographically dispersed engagement team.
While the role works closely with schools and has a solid Catholic mission and education context, its primary focus is growing fundraising partnerships and income.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a national fundraising and partnership strategy
- Managing and strengthening strategic relationships
- Identifying and securing new partnership and revenue opportunities
- Building relationships across Catholic education, community, philanthropic and Diocesan networks
- Delivering fundraising and revenue targets
- Leading the end-to-end delivery and growth of Socktober
- Leading and developing a national multi-state team
- Identifying opportunities to increase participation, diversify income and create sustainable growth
- Using data, stakeholder insight and market opportunities to inform strategy

Through initiatives such as Socktober, Catholic Mission creates opportunities for Australian organisations and communities to connect with and support its global mission.
What You Bring
- Proven experience developing strategic partnerships, fundraising programs or revenue-generating relationships
- A track record of identifying opportunities and converting them into sustainable partnerships or revenue
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with a focus on measurable outcomes
- Experience leading fundraising, engagement, business development or partnership strategies
- Experience leading or influencing geographically dispersed teams
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong project management capability and the ability to move from strategy to execution
- Experience working with schools, education, youth or community sectors will be highly regarded
- An ability to work within Catholic values and global mission is essential
