Churches of Christ is looking for Home Care Support Workers to join our team on the Sunshine Coast. We have two opportunities available for people who enjoy helping others, are reliable and take pride in providing practical support that helps older people remain independent in their own homes.

Whether you’re looking for an ongoing role or a short-term opportunity over the Christmas and summer period, we’d love to hear from you!

Two opportunities available

1. Ongoing position

Join our team in an ongoing role supporting clients with everyday tasks, including domestic assistance, shopping, transport and social support. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent work while building relationships with clients in their local community.

2. Christmas Casual – November to February

Help us keep our clients supported over the busy Christmas and summer period by covering planned staff leave. This is a fixed-term opportunity, with the potential for extension depending on ongoing service demand and work availability.

This role could suit university students, nursing students or anyone looking for versatile, meaningful work over the summer break.

Both opportunities will cover the Sunshine Coast, primarily between Caloundra and Nambour, with potential work extending to Noosa.

What you’ll be doing

- Providing domestic assistance, including general household cleaning.





- Supporting clients with shopping and everyday errands.

- Helping clients get to appointments and other outings through transport assistance.

- Providing social support and friendly companionship.

- Helping older people maintain their independence, dignity and connection to their community.

What we’re looking for
- A genuine interest in supporting people and making a positive difference.

- A friendly, respectful and dependable approach.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport, where required for the role.

- Relevant working rights in Australia (we are unable to sponsor) and hold or be willing to obtain a valid National Police Check.
- Availability to work across the Sunshine Coast service area.

- Willingness to complete required employment screening and role-specific checks.

A Certificate III in Individual Support is desirable but not essential.
