About the Role
Working in the SAPOL Call Centre means stepping into a purpose-driven role where you are the vital first point of contact for the community. From managing non-emergency (131 444) calls to handling critical Emergency Triple Zero (000) calls, your calm reassurance and quick thinking will directly protect and support South Australians when they need it most.
This Role is For You If You Are:
- A Composed Communicator: Calm under pressure, resilient, and highly empathetic. You possess the vital de-escalation skills needed to manage distressed or agitated callers from diverse backgrounds.
- A Sharp Decision Maker: Able to extract key details quickly, use sound judgment, and give clear verbal instructions.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating multiple screens and software systems simultaneously.
- Community-Minded: Driven by integrity, respect, and a desire to make a real difference.
- Geographically Savvy: Possess a strong working knowledge of metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia to accurately track and understand caller locations.

Training & Next Steps
Successful applicants enter our Talent Pool to await allocation to a 5-week, full-time paid training course. Upon graduation, pending the current business needs, you will transition into an ASO3 casual or 12-month term contract on a full-time or part-time basis, with strong potential for permanent, ongoing employment.

- Positions operate 24/7 (including weekends/public holidays and overnight shifts).
