They are looking for an experienced Accommodation Manager join their growing team in Renmark, SA.

The Role

This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the accommodation units and providing an excellent experience for guests.

This is a full time position with an annual salary between $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accommodation facility, including guest services, room allocation, bookings, housekeeping coordination and general property presentation.
- Oversee guest check-in, check-out, reservation updates, payment processing, enquiries, complaints and service recovery to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Monitor room occupancy, booking channels, pricing, availability and seasonal demand to maximise accommodation revenue and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate housekeeping, laundry, room readiness, cleaning schedules, maintenance requests and common area standards across the property.
- Supervise accommodation staff by allocating duties, monitoring performance, providing guidance and ensuring service standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate guest records, booking details, invoices, payment records, occupancy reports and operational documentation.
- Liaise with travel agents, online booking platforms, contractors, suppliers and local service providers to support accommodation operations and guest needs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire safety, hygiene, security, guest conduct and workplace procedures.
- Manage stock, linen, cleaning supplies, maintenance materials and other accommodation resources to support daily operations.




- Identify operational issues, maintenance risks, service gaps and guest concerns, and implement practical solutions to improve property performance.
- Support marketing, guest communication and local tourism promotion to attract travellers and improve occupancy.
- Prepare regular reports for management on occupancy, revenue, guest feedback, staffing, maintenance issues and operational performance.

Requirements

- A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.
- At least 12 months' experience managing accommodation operations, hostel operations, or backpacker accommodation.
- At least 12 months' experience using accommodation management systems, online booking platforms, channel managers, payment systems and guest record systems to manage bookings, availability, payments and occupancy reporting.
- At least 12 months' experience supervising housekeeping, laundry, maintenance coordination, room readiness, common area presentation and property service standards.
- At least 12 months' experience managing guest relations, complaints, service recovery, visitor enquiries, conduct issues and customer experience in a busy accommodation setting.
- At least 12 months' experience using accommodation management systems, online booking platforms, channel managers, POS systems, Microsoft Office and guest record systems.
- At least 12 months' experience managing staff rosters, task allocation, performance monitoring, supplier coordination, stock control and daily operational reporting.
- Strong capability in revenue awareness, occupancy planning, seasonal demand management, cost control, guest satisfaction improvement and continuous operational improvement.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and adapt to changing situations.
