To support our rapid operational growth and ensure peak performance across our transport network, Falcon Trans Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee daily fleet logistics, implement robust preventative maintenance schedules, manage a team of commercial drivers, and ensure strict compliance with Australian heavy vehicle national regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily fleet operations, coordinating vehicles, drivers and transport resources to meet business and customer requirements.
- Develop transportation schedules based on vehicle availability, operational priorities, delivery requirements and business demand.
- Allocate suitable vehicles and resources to transport orders and bookings, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
- Advise clients on vehicle types, hire arrangements, rates and contractual obligations after establishing their transportation requirements.
- Manage the procurement, servicing, repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles, equipment and fuel to sustain operational efficiency and reliability.




- Coordinate the collection and delivery of vehicles and goods, monitoring progress to ensure timely and effective completion.
- Ensure goods are handled, stored and transported in line with the requirements for maintaining their quality and condition.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and service providers to arrange vehicle repairs, maintenance, fuel supplies, equipment and other fleet-related services.
- Maintain accurate fleet and operational records, and prepare reports, statements and documentation on fleet performance and business activities.
- Comply with occupational health and safety requirements and all applicable transport, vehicle and operational regulations, ensuring fleet operations meet these standards.

Essential Requirements

- Relevant qualification in Fleet Management, Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience in fleet management, transport operations, logistics or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle scheduling, maintenance and utilisation.
- Experience coordinating drivers, vehicle servicing, repairs and day-to-day fleet activities.
- Valuable understanding of vehicle safety, road transport requirements, workplace health and safety, and compliance obligations.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to monitor fleet costs, fuel usage, maintenance requirements and operational performance.
