Key responsibilities
- Conducting compliance reviews, investigations and assurance activities using a risk-based approach.
- Reviewing and analysing financial information, disclosure returns, applications, claims and supporting documentation to determine compliance with legislative requirements.
- Identifying emerging compliance risks, trends and potential avoidance behaviours through the use of intelligence, data analytics and information-gathering techniques.
- Assessing complex information from multiple sources and formulating evidence-based recommendations.
- Preparing detailed briefs, reports, correspondence and submissions for senior decision-makers.
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of regulatory policies, procedures and compliance strategies.
- Supporting regulatory responses to potential non-compliance and enforcement matters.
- Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate compliance outcomes.
- Providing guidance, mentoring and support to junior team members and contributing to capability development across the team.

About You
- Experience leading or supporting compliance reviews, audits, investigations, assurance activities or other structured regulatory processes.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, identify risks and provide sound recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing financial, commercial or regulatory information and applying legislation, policy or procedural frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, defensible and high‑quality work that can withstand scrutiny.
- Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing briefings, reports, submissions and correspondence for wide-ranging audiences.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships and influence positive outcomes.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, particularly when responding to legislative reform, changing priorities and evolving business requirements.
- A collaborative leadership style and commitment to fostering a positive, high‑performing team culture.
- Baseline clearance or the ability to obtain one is a must.
