About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Management Accountant to join our team at our Pakenham Head Office working onsite fulltime (No Work from Home Available)

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial performance and strategic direction of Grove’s group of businesses.

The role is responsible for management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, while partnering with senior management and operational teams to provide meaningful insights and recommendations. You will analyse financial and operational performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and help drive improved business performance.

The role will also contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation, financial modelling and enhanced reporting.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports across the Group, including commentary on performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Analyse revenue, costs, margins, profitability and key operational drivers, identifying trends, variances, risks and opportunities.




- Investigate material variances and work with stakeholders to understand underlying drivers and develop actions.
- Lead and coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, including financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs and provide insights to senior management.
- Partner with operational and senior management teams to provide commercial financial advice and support decision-making.
- Develop financial models, dashboards and reporting tools to provide clear and actionable insights.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate and improve finance processes, systems and reporting.
- Support the Financial Controller with financial analysis, strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across the finance function.

About you

You are an experienced management accountant with strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn financial information into clear insights and practical business recommendations.

You will ideally have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification, or currently studying towards qualification.
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial or industry-based finance environment.
- Strong experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience with MYOB, Pronto or similar ERP systems.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work confidently with senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to process improvement, automation and finance transformation.
