About the role

Reporting directly to the Principal, you'll combine substantive paralegal work with client engagement and practice support. You'll work on Family Law, Wills and Estates, and associated litigation matters, delivering the client experience that sets the firm apart.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with Family Law matters, including parenting and property disputes, financial disclosure and court proceedings.
- Supporting Wills and Estates matters, including estate planning, probate, estate administration and contested estates.
- Preparing correspondence, affidavits, applications, consent orders, briefs and other legal documents.
- Assisting with litigation, court filings, hearing preparation and management of deadlines.
- Managing files, liaising with clients and proactively progressing matters.
- Being the welcoming, professional first point of contact for our Brisbane office, including greeting clients, handling enquiries and coordinating appointments.
- Assisting with legal billing, time recording, WIP, invoicing and day-to-day practice administration.

About you





- Proven experience as a Paralegal or experienced Legal Assistant, ideally in Family Law and/or Wills and Estates, with litigation experience.
- Strong drafting, file management and knowledge of court processes and deadlines.
- Experience with legal billing, time recording and practice management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, professional presentation and confidence dealing with clients.
- Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
