Australian Vinegar is Australia's leading premium vinegar manufacturer, based in Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt, supplying food manufacturers, foodservice and export markets. As we continue to grow, we're appointing a Supply and Distribution Manager to own and lead our end-to-end supply chain — from raw-material procurement through to dispatch of finished product.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management, you will take full responsibility for planning, directing and controlling the supply, purchasing, inventory and distribution function across the business. You will set purchasing and inventory strategy, manage supplier relationships, control stock at minimum cost, and coordinate logistics so we consistently meet our DIFOT commitments to domestic and international customers. This is a hands-on management role in a regional manufacturing workplace — strategic in scope, but close to the plant floor.

Key Responsibilities

● Determine, implement and monitor purchasing, inventory and distribution strategies, policies and plans for raw materials and finished vinegar products

● Plan and schedule supply to meet production and customer demand while maintaining stock at minimum cost

● Source, negotiate and manage suppliers and contracts on price, quality and delivery

● Manage inventory and stock-control systems, re-order points and stock accuracy

● Coordinate inbound logistics and outbound distribution, from goods receipt through to dispatch, including export consignments





● Oversee purchasing, storage and distribution records and produce reporting to inform strategic decisions

● Liaise across production, sales and operations to align supply with demand

● Identify and drive continuous-improvement initiatives across the supply chain

● Uphold work health & safety and food-safety standards

About You

● Tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics, procurement, business, engineering or a related field — or equivalent senior experience

● At least 5 years' experience in a supply chain, logistics or distribution management role — including supplier negotiation, inventory/stock control and distribution coordination — ideally in manufacturing or food & beverage

● Demonstrated capability in supplier negotiation, inventory management and logistics coordination

● Strong systems/ERP and computer skills

● Current driver's licence (required); forklift licence desirable

● Able to relocate to and reside in Stanthorpe, QLD — this is a fully on-site role with no remote or hybrid option

● Willing to participate in the on-call roster and to assist hands-on in production when required
