We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced Casual Cook to join our kitchen team.

About the Role

We're seeking a capable and motivated cook who can hit the ground running in a busy pub kitchen. The successful applicant will assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, preparing and delivering quality meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their cooking and works well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals from our bistro menu to a consistently high standard.

- Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.

- Assist with food preparation, portion control and stock rotation.

- Maintain a clean, organised and secure kitchen environment.

- Follow food safety procedures and hygiene standards.

- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management.

- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.

- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and service times.

- Minimise food wastage and assist with general kitchen operations.

What We're Looking For





- Previous experience working as a cook in a pub, bistro, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen.

- Ability to work independently and confidently during service.

- Strong time management and organisational skills.

- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

- Availability for a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends.

- Relevant cookery qualifications are desirable but not essential for applicants with suitable experience.
