Are you an experienced Payroll professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys working across complex award structures? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Australian manufacturing organisation during an exciting period.

We are seeking a Payroll Manager to provide maternity leave cover for a valued team member and take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function across a diverse workforce. This role is based in Richlands, in their modern offices with parking available onsite.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll along with reporting, managing queries and providing HR operations support.

This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone who enjoys payroll processing, problem-solving and working with detailed manual processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end weekly payroll for approximately 145 employees
- Process payroll across multiple Modern Awards including Manufacturing, Commercial Sales, Road Transport and Distribution, and Clerks - Private Sector Awards.
- Calculate wages, allowances, overtime, deductions and other payroll-related payments
- Prepare data for weekly and monthly reporting requirements including absenteeism, overtime, allowances, superannuation and turnover along with ad hoc reports for HR and Finance stakeholders
- Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner and maintain payroll records to ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax and superannuation requirements
- Support employee onboarding,



contract administration and offboarding activities along with ad hoc HR administration tasks
- Contribute to payroll process improvements

About You

You have at least 3 years experience as a Payroll Manager and you love the detail. With robust payroll expertise, a solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and a natural knack for problem-solving, you're known for your accuracy, reliability and ability to manage payroll with confidence. You will bring;

- Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll in Australia
- Strong understanding of Modern Awards and payroll compliance requirements
- Previous experience within manufacturing, building products, industrial or blue-collar environments
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence working with manual payroll processes and complex calculations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Strong reporting and Excel skills

Highly Regarded

- Exposure to FoundU or experience with Employment Hero
- Previous HR administration experience

- 15-month fixed term contract through to March 2027 (dependent on start date)
- Competitive salary of $90,000 - $100,000 + Super
