About the role

Spectacular Jumping Crocodile Cruises is looking for a friendly, dependable Visitor Services Host to join our small team at our Adelaide River attraction.

You’ll help create a welcoming, well-organised and memorable visitor experience from arrival to departure. From greeting guests and preparing them for their cruise to welcoming them back, serving refreshments and helping them choose a souvenir, your attention to the small details will make a difference.

Bring your retail, hospitality or customer-service experience into a distinctive tourism setting, working alongside our Site Manager and cruise crews. We operate all year, including through the wet season, so this is an ongoing position rather than a seasonal appointment.

This permanent part-time role offers 30 hours across four days, generally including one weekend day, with public holiday work required at times. We aim for a regular roster, with occasional changes discussed to cover leave, illness or busy periods.

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming visitors on arrival and helping them feel informed, comfortable and ready for their experience.

- Answering enquiries, processing bookings and tickets, and providing clear information about cruise times and facilities.

- Recognising visitors who need additional assistance and communicating relevant information to our cruise crews.

- Helping coordinate coach arrivals and visitor movements before and after cruises.

- Welcoming guests back from their cruise, answering questions and providing friendly service through to departure.

- Serving customers in our retail shop and café, handling payments and maintaining accurate records.

- Replenishing stock and keeping displays inviting.

- Keeping visitor areas, public amenities and surrounding facilities clean, tidy and ready for guests.

- Reporting hazards and maintenance concerns,



and supporting emergency communications when required.

- Providing occasional onboard support when crew cover is needed, following training and competency assessment.

About you

- Experience in retail, hospitality, tourism or another customer-service setting.

- A friendly manner and clear, respectful communication.

- An eye for detail and a genuine interest in making visitors feel welcome and valued.

- Reliability, initiative and the ability to stay organised during busy periods.

- Confidence using booking systems, EFTPOS and everyday computer applications, or a willingness to learn.

- A willingness to share cleaning, housekeeping and other practical duties.

- The ability to work independently and contribute to a small, versatile team.

- Availability for the roster described above and a willingness to undertake training for occasional onboard duties.

- Reliable transport to and from work.

- Currently living in Australia with valid Australian work rights.
