About Us

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Hahndorf on Main, a new boutique accommodation offering in the heart of Hahndorf's vibrant Main Street.

Our brand-new, 29-room Boutique Motel is nearing completion, with an anticipated opening in mid-November 2026. With the recent acquisition of the former Haus Studio Apartments, we are expanding to a combined 43 rooms across two properties, conveniently located approximately 150 metres apart.

Both properties will operate under the Hahndorf on Main brand, with all reception, reservations and administration centrally managed from our new Boutique Motel.

As part of the Best Western Signature Collection, we aim to deliver a high standard of accommodation and genuine, personalised guest service.

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organised and confident Casual Receptionist to join our team in an ongoing role, providing regular coverage during our onsite managers' days off.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, takes pride in providing excellent guest service and is comfortable overseeing the day-to-day reception operations of a busy accommodation business.

Hours and Availability

- Two regular days per week, either Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday.

- Hours: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.

- Ongoing casual position with consistent, rostered hours.

- Commencement in the first week of November 2026,



allowing time for familiarisation and training ahead of our proposed mid-November opening.

- Opportunity to take responsibility for the after-hours guest telephone service on two nights per week, with additional payment provided. This is entirely optional and not a requirement of the role.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing the day-to-day reception operations across both properties.

- Welcoming guests and coordinating check-ins and check-outs.

- Handling telephone, email and online booking enquiries.

- Managing reservations, room allocations and guest accounts.

- Processing payments and maintaining accurate booking records.

- Liaising with housekeeping to coordinate room readiness and guest requirements.

- Assisting guests with local recommendations and information about Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills.

- Resolving guest enquiries and minor issues independently.

- Ensuring reception operates smoothly and professionally in the managers' absence.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, personable and confident working independently.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience in motel, hotel or accommodation reception.

- Experience with RMS Property Management System preferred.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.





- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Confidence using computers, reservation systems and online booking platforms.

- The ability to manage competing priorities and make sensible decisions independently.

- A friendly, professional manner and a genuine interest in guest satisfaction.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys being the friendly face of a quality accommodation business.
