A healthcare practice in North of Brisbane is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join its clinical team for a locum position. Working alongside experienced GPs, you will provide a broad range of nursing services to patients of varying ages and backgrounds. The role will involve both routine clinical care and preventative health services, with a solid focus on delivering secure, qualified and compassionate patient care.
Key responsibilities
Providing nursing assistance to GPs during consultations and minor procedures.
Completing patient assessments and recording observations and vital signs.
Delivering vaccinations and immunisation services in accordance with applicable guidelines.
Carrying out dressing procedures and wound care.
Conducting preventative health assessments and routine screening activities.
Assisting with administrative and clinical tasks and accurately documenting patient information while maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy.
Maintaining high standards of infection prevention, workplace safety and clinical compliance.
About you
Current registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.
A minimum of one year experience in general practice.
Experience with at least one software system.
An understanding of infection control requirements and workplace health and safety practices.
The capacity to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
