The Company
Our client is a well-established local civil contractor delivering infrastructure projects across South Australia. The business has a strong mix of metropolitan Adelaide and regional work across underground services, drainage, FRP and structural concrete.
They’ve built a reputation in the market for being easy to deal with, practical and delivery-focused, not overly corporate, just a business that gets in, gets the job done and maintains strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
The Role
Process supplier invoices and match them against purchase orders.
Check coding and allocate costs to the correct projects.
Follow up missing information, approvals and invoice discrepancies.
Handle supplier enquiries and reconcile supplier statements.
Prepare payment runs for review and approval.
Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with weekly payroll preparation, including checking timesheets.
Support month-end journals, reconciliations and general finance administration.
The Criteria
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping preferred but not essential
Experience in bookkeeping or accounts within construction, civil or labour hire
Comfortable using accounting software and Excel; MYOB AccountRight experience advantageous
Solid attention to detail
Australian citizenship is essential for this position
