Position Summary

Preparing and cooking to order a variety of Italian dishes.

Education/Experience:

Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) and one year relevant work experience

or

At least three years relevant work experience

Position Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ordering and receiving food supplies and ingredients
Developing menus
Reading customer orders
Ensuring timely preparation of meals
Preparing and cooking a variety of Italian dishes.
Cooking food on grills, hotplates and in ovens
Baking, roasting, boiling and steaming meats,



poultry, fish, vegetables and other foods.
Observing and testing that food has been cooked sufficiently by tasting, smelling or piercing them with utensils.
Placing and garnishing food on plates
Storing unused food in refrigerators and freezers
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen area and equipment.
Training other kitchen staff

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
