Culley’s had been trading since 1925 and we are still a family owned and operated business.
We are currently seeking a head baker to lead our staff.
At Culley’s our Bakers are responsible for:
Prepare and produce pastries, cakes, desserts and other baked products.
Measure, mix, knead, roll and shape dough and pastry products.
Prepare fillings, creams, icings and decorations.
Monitor baking temperatures and cooking times to ensure consistent quality.
Decorate and present finished products to a high standard.
Check the quality of ingredients and finished products.
Maintain appropriate stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
Ensure food preparation and storage areas comply with food safety and hygiene requirements.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Work effectively with other kitchen and production team members.
The ideal candidate will possess the following :
At least a Certificate III in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Pastrycook or in a similar role.
Sound knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques and food safety requirements.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for baking, with innovative ideas
Reliable transportation
Ability to work in a fast-paced / flexible environment.
