About the role

We are seeking a Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our IT team and support the design, implementation, administration and maintenance of the organisation's network and systems infrastructure.

Key responsibilities
Design, configure, maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS and DHCP.
Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory and Group Policy.
Monitor network and systems performance and investigate infrastructure incidents.
Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 and Microsoft cloud services.
Manage user accounts, permissions, security controls, and access policies.
Support virtualisation environments including VMware and/or Hyper-V.
Implement and maintain network security, backup, and disaster-recovery processes.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and systems issues.
Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and configuration records.
Liaise with vendors and service providers regarding infrastructure and technical issues.
Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades,



and technology improvements.

Skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
Relevant professional experience in network and systems engineering.
Robust knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and network troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based technologies.
Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of an IT team.
