We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing business. This is a excellent opportunity for someone with previous steel or sheet metal experience looking for a long term position within a rapid paced production environment.
ROLE
Operate a range of sheet metal production machinery including roll formers
Set up and monitor machinery to ensure production targets are met
Read and interpret production drawings and specifications
Measure and check finished products for quality and accuracy
Safely move steel and finished products throughout the production area
Operate a forklift or overhead crane
Complete general production and manual handling duties
Follow all workplace health, safety and quality procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in steel, sheet metal, or a similar manufacturing setting
Experience operating production machinery
Ability to read and interpret technical or production drawings
Forklift licence and/or overhead crane experience highly advantageous
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Safety focused with good communication skills
Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands on, physically demanding environment
