We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a team responsible for assembling, maintaining and repairing mechanical components and machinery. This is a hands on role, ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and thrives in a quick paced workshop workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly and fitting of mechanical components and equipment
Interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Operating hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
Conducting quality checks and ensuring adherence to safety standards
Collaborating with other team members and supervisors to meet deadlines
Keeping work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free
About You:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
Proven experience in a workshop or similar mechanical setting
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Good communication and teamwork skills
Overhead Crane ticket (desirable, not essential)
