This is a varied, hands-on role assisting with funeral services and the respectful transfer of people into care. The position is available on a casual or part-time basis and may particularly suit someone who is semi-retired, looking for flexible work or seeking a rewarding role within a caring, professional workplace.
Key responsibilities
Assisting funeral directors with the preparation and conducting of funeral services.
Transferring deceased persons from hospitals, aged care facilities and private residences.
Driving and maintaining funeral vehicles.
Providing respectful and professional assistance to families.
About you
Has excellent people skills and a genuinely compassionate nature.
Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
Takes pride in their personal presentation and maintains a neat, qualified appearance.
Has a calm, respectful and practical approach to their work.
Is physically capable of assisting with transfers and other manual tasks.
Holds a current driver's licence.
Can work independently as well as part of a small, supportive team.
Has some flexibility to work occasional evenings, late nights and weekends when required.
