Chef | Full-Time | Private College inside University of Sydney

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our catering team within a welcoming educational college environment.

This is an excellent prospect for a chef who enjoys working autonomously while also being part of a tight-knit, collaborative team. You will play an important role in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for our college community, with a robust focus on consistency, presentation and dietary requirements.

About the Role:

Working as part of the college catering team, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of a varied range of meals while maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, safety and service.

Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and presenting high-quality meals to a consistent standard
Managing and catering for a range of dietary requirements and food allergies
Following established menus, recipes and food safety procedures
Ensuring consistency in meal preparation, portioning and presentation
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and kitchen organisation
Working independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
Assisting with stock management,



ordering and minimising food waste where required
Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen

About You:

We are looking for a chef who is:
Experienced in a professional kitchen environment
Confident working autonomously and making sound decisions
A robust team player who enjoys working collaboratively
Organised, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy environment
Passionate about quality, consistency and fresh food
Knowledgeable about dietary requirements, food allergies and safe food handling
Professional, approachable and committed to providing a high standard of service
