Henny’s Deli is a brand-current neighbourhood café and deli opening at 618 Darling Street, Rozelle.

We want Henny’s to become a local favourite — somewhere people can grab a outstanding coffee, fresh food and a seriously good sandwich.

We're now looking for a Sandwich Hand / Food Prep team member to join us from the beginning.

About the role

This is a hands-on role focused on preparing fresh sandwiches and ingredients while keeping our food preparation area organised, stocked and ready for service.

Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing fresh sandwiches and deli items
Preparing ingredients for daily service
Portioning, slicing and assembling ingredients
Following recipes and presentation standards
Maintaining consistency and quality
Restocking ingredients throughout service
Rotating and storing food correctly
Keeping preparation areas clean and organised
Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
Assisting the kitchen team when required
Helping with opening, closing and cleaning duties

About you

We're looking for someone who:




Has previous café, deli, sandwich or food-preparation experience
Works quickly and neatly
Has excellent attention to detail
Takes pride in food presentation
Understands the importance of cleanliness and food safety
Can follow recipes and portioning standards
Is reliable and punctual
Has a positive attitude
Enjoys working as part of a team
Can handle a fast-paced lunch service

Experience is significant, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn matter just as much.

Pay: $26.44 – $38.78 per hour
