District 360 is a registered NDIS provider supporting participants to live the lives they choose. We are growing our psychosocial team and are looking for a Recovery Coach who believes in recovery, choice and genuine partnership with the people they support.
About the role
As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you will work alongside NDIS participants living with psychosocial disability to build capacity, resilience and independence. You will:
Build robust, respectful relationships with participants, their families and carers
Work with participants to develop, implement and review their recovery plan
Help participants understand and make the most of their NDIS plan
Coordinate supports and collaborate with mental health services, clinicians and community organisations
Support participants to prepare for plan reviews, including writing progress reports
Respond to changing needs and escalate risks in line with our policies
Keep accurate case notes and records in our client management system
About you
We welcome applicants with lived experience, learned experience, or both.
Essential:
Certificate IV in Mental Health,
Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, Certificate IV in Community Services or a related field, and/or at least 2 years of paid experience supporting people with mental health challenges
Sound understanding of recovery oriented and trauma informed practice
Robust communication and report writing skills
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
Current driver licence and reliable, insured vehicle
Right to work in Australia
Desirable:
Diploma or degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or similar
Mental Health First Aid or suicide intervention training (e.g. ASIST)
Experience with NDIS plans and reporting
