Reporting to the Store Manager, this is a diverse retail role that combines customer service, sales support and hands-on operational responsibilities.
You'll work with homeowners, builders, tilers and trade professionals, helping customers find the right products while also supporting stock movement, order preparation and warehouse operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the go, working as part of a team and taking a practical approach to customer service.
Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding service to retail and trade customers
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders
Load customer vehicles and assist with product collections
Support stock replenishment across the showroom and warehouse
Prepare quotes and process customer orders
Build strong relationships with local trade customers
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work workplace
Assist with inventory management and stock control
Contribute to store sales and customer satisfaction targets
What We're Looking For
You will ideally bring:
Current Forklift Licence (essential)
Experience in retail, trade sales, warehousing, building supplies, hardware or similar industries
A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved wherever needed
Confidence working in a physically active environment
Robust customer service and communication skills
A practical, solutions-focused approach
Reliability, initiative and a strong work ethic
Confidence working with both retail and trade customers
