Seniors Rights Victoria is seeking a compassionate and experienced Advocate to support older people experiencing or at risk of elder abuse. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide information, support, advocacy, referral and short-term casework through the SRV Helpline and integrated service model.
About the role
Provide information, advocacy and support to older Victorians
Undertake risk assessment and safety planning
Support clients to identify and achieve their goals
Work collaboratively with legal, advocacy and community service partners
Contribute to service improvement and community education activities
About you
Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related discipline
Minimum five years' experience in social work or a related field
Experience working with older people, family violence or community services
Robust communication, assessment and client engagement skills
Commitment to a human rights and advocacy-based approach
