Seniors Rights Victoria is looking for an experienced Advocate to provide support, advocacy, referral and short-term casework for older Victorians experiencing or at risk of elder abuse. This is an opportunity to join a respected service making a genuine difference in the community every day.
About the role
Deliver advocacy and support through the SRV Helpline
Assist clients to make informed decisions and achieve their desired outcomes
Undertake risk assessment and safety planning
Work closely with legal services and external agencies
Participate in community awareness and education initiatives
About you
Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related discipline
At least five years' experience in a relevant field
Experience in ageing, family violence, advocacy or community services
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Commitment to empowering older people and promoting their rights
