We are seeking an experienced Yard Person to join a well established national business specialising in the hire and supply of site equipment. This is a hands on role involving the preparation, movement and maintenance of equipment within a busy yard.
The role is ideal for someone with robust forklift and yard experience who enjoys physical work, working with equipment and being part of a fast paced team. There is overtime available, along with additional night project work.
ROLE
Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles
Operate forklifts to move equipment and materials around the yard
Prepare site equipment for customer hire
Check, clean and organise equipment before and after hire
Assist with loading equipment for customer deliveries and collections
Move and stack equipment safely and efficiently
Perform manual handling and general yard duties
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
Assist with additional projects and site requirements as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Previous yard or equipment hire experience highly regarded
Proven forklift operating experience - 2 years minimum
Current forklift licence
Comfortable handling heavy equipment and materials
Physically fit and capable of regular manual handling
Comfortable working outdoors in a hands on environment
Reliable, safety-focused and willing to work as part of a team
Adaptable to work overtime and occasional night projects
