An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef de partie to join the talented culinary team at Carter Lovett, a highly regarded Cafe and Bistro located in the vibrant suburb of Elsternwick, Victoria. Offering the successful candidate the chance to showcase their culinary skills in a dynamic and collaborative workplace.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes from the restaurant's seasonal menu
Assisting the Head Chef and other members of the kitchen team in the smooth running of daily operations
Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
Collaborating with the team to develop new menu items and enhance existing dishes
Ensuring efficient and timely service of all meals
Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff as required
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a high-quality restaurant or catering environment
Strong technical cooking skills and expertise in a range of cooking methods and cuisines
A passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create exceptional dishes
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Solid communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider kitchen team
A commitment to upholding high food safety and hygiene standards
