The Opportunity
The Manufacturing Supervisor will support the day-to-day running of the workshop, helping the team complete work safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
This hands-on role suits someone ready to take the next step into supervision. You will help organise priorities, guide the team and resolve routine production issues while remaining involved on the workshop floor.
Key Responsibilities
Help plan daily workshop activities and priorities
Allocate tasks and follow jobs through to completion
Provide practical support and direction to workshop employees
Monitor quality, output and delivery timeframes
Ensure drawings and job requirements are followed
Promote safe work practices and good housekeeping
Assist with equipment and production issues
Keep simple production records and communicate progress
About You
This role will suit a reliable manufacturing or fabrication skilled with some experience guiding others and an interest in developing their supervisory skills.
We would like to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or a similar workshop environment
Some exposure to leading a small team, allocating work or training employees
The ability to read basic drawings and job specifications
A practical understanding of workshop equipment and fabrication processes
A sound approach to safety, quality and housekeeping
Positive organisation and problem-solving skills
Explicit communication and a dependable, hands-on attitude
A relevant trade qualification or experience with steel fabrication, agricultural equipment or project-based manufacturing would be an advantage.
