Your new company This established organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its payroll function on a temporary basis. Supporting a large and diverse workforce, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and efficiently while delivering a high level of service to internal stakeholders.
Your current role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll, timesheets, leave and employee variations
Maintaining payroll records, allowances and deductions
Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation
Responding to payroll enquiries and providing payroll advice
Processing payroll adjustments, reconciliations and reporting
Supporting fortnightly payroll activities and compliance requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Payroll Officer position
Solid knowledge of payroll processes and legislation
Experience working with computerised payroll systems
High attention to detail and robust data entry accuracy
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Intermediate Excel skills will be highly regarded
