Your recent companyHays is currently partnering with a range of reputable organisations seeking experienced Accounts and Bookkeeping professionals to provide temporary support during periods of growth, leave cover and project-based work. Your new roleAs a Temporary Accounts & Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance function and ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions. This is a hands-on role suited to an adaptable professional who can quickly integrate into a team and add value from day one.
Your duties may include:
End-to-end Accounts Payable processing
Accounts Receivable, invoicing and debt collection
Bank, credit card and account reconciliations
General bookkeeping and ledger maintenance
Payroll processing and support
Journal entries and month-end assistance
Managing supplier and customer enquiries
Data entry and financial record management
Assisting with reporting and finance administration
Supporting finance teams during peak periods and staff absences





What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for these prospects, you will possess:
Previous experience within bookkeeping, accounts or finance support roles
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
The ability to quickly adapt to new systems and environments
