We're looking for a hands-on Working Café Manager to join a busy takeaway café in Warana on a casual or part-time basis. This role suits someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and keeping service moving during busy breakfast and lunch trade. The café offers barista-made coffee, fresh food and a strong grab-and-go range for loyal local customers. With high daily trade, we need a confident working manager who can support the team during peak periods, maintain standards and help drive a fast, friendly and productive service.
Key responsibilities
Lead from the floor during busy service periods
Help keep the team organised, friendly and focused during busy service periods
Support coffee, customer service, food preparation and takeaway orders as needed
Coach and motivate the team while staying hands-on in daily trade
Keep service fast, friendly, organised and consistent
Manage rostering, stock control, ordering and day-to-day café operations
Maintain high standards across coffee, food presentation, cleanliness and food safety
Work with the management team to keep labour, cost of goods and overall venue performance under control
About you
Proven experience as a Café Manager, Working Manager or strong Assistant Manager
Comfortable working on the floor and leading by example
Confident in a high-volume café, takeaway or quick-service environment
Strong customer service, communication and team leadership skills
Hands-on, proactive and calm under pressure
Solid understanding of rostering, stock control and basic financials
Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willingness to obtain one if required
Available Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm
