Our client is an established Sydney-based commercial joinery business with a solid reputation for delivering large-scale projects across the East Coast.
They are seeking an experienced Financial Manager/Controller to take ownership of the finance function and work closely with the Managing Director.

The Role

This is a hands-on position covering the full finance function across multiple entities and a busy project workplace.
Monthly management reporting, P&L;, balance sheet and cashflow
Month-end/year-end close, reconciliations and intercompany accounting
Job costing, WIP and project margin analysis
Progress claims and retentions
Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
AP, AR and weekly payroll
BAS, IAS, PAYG, super and payroll tax
MYOB management and process improvement
Liaising with external accountants and supporting the Managing Director with commercial reporting

About You
5+ years' experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant
Construction, joinery, manufacturing or project-based experience highly regarded
