Join our energetic team, at the forefront of innovation in the Heavy Industry sector. Based in the industrial hub of Wollongong, we are working in partnership on a major capital works program, and are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Structural Draftsperson to contribute to our ambitious projects.

Key Responsibilities /n

/n
Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.

/n
Coordinate with and consult other consultants to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.

/n
Review and analyse specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs.





/n
Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.

/n
Confer with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve problems.

/n
Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.

/n

Qualifications /n

/n
Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

/n
Proficiency in CAD software.

/n
Solid understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.

/n
Experience in heavy industry or related fields is preferred.

/n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

/n
