At Baiada Poultry our primary objective is to provide our customers with the highest quality products and excellent service.The position of Livestock Service person- Broiler is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of company and contract broiler farms to supply the needs of the processing plant(s).
The operation of the broiler farms involve receival of day olds, grow out, pick up and cleanout, maintenance of farm and shed equipment, meeting customer quality requirements and meeting legislative and regulatory requirements related to the operation of broiler farms.
The position reports to the Riverina Broiler Manager direct working relationships may include but not limited to the Senior Management Team, the Baiada Technical & Quality Team, Baiada Contractors and Suppliers, other Livestock Area Mangers and Broiler Farm Managers /Contract Growers, Hatcheries and Hatchery Managers, the Group Nutritionist, the National Environmental Risk Manager, the Group WHS Manager and WHS Team, Live bird Production Planners, the Cleanout Team, Company Vets; the Feed mill,



Rendering Plant and all Baiada Processing Plants.This is an excellent chance for a hands‐on agricultural professional who enjoys working with people, livestock and farm operations.Essential Qualifications / LicensesPrevious experience in livestock managementCurrent driver's license ( company car where applicable)Ability to read, write and communicate in EnglishMust be permanent resident of Australia or Australian citizen and / or legally entitled to work in AustraliaCritical Skills and Experience RequiredExtensive experience in animal husbandry, particularly with livestock poultry with a sound commitment to the welfare of the stockExcellent leadership skills including conflict resolution and problem solvingExcellent problem solving skillsA knowledge of Quality Systems, WHSE procedures and good understanding of how day to day activities could impact on the Animal Welfare, Biosecurity and EnvironmentExperience in the poultry industry, specifically broiler farmingPersonal Attributes RequiredTeam playerConscientious, able to see tasks through to completionDesire to take ownership and responsibilityA genuine concern for stock welfareTo be eligible for this role, you must have legal right to work full-time (without restrictions) in Australia at the time of application.
