Ongoing professional development - conferences, training (continence, wound care and more), and career progression opportunitiesAbout the RoleAs our Neurological Liaison Nurse, you'll deliver high-quality, person‐centred nursing care to clients living with a range of neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson's, Huntington's, MND, ABI and Stroke.Working within a collaborative team, you will manage a diverse caseload and deliver clinical services across a variety of settings—including clients' homes and our community hubs—supporting individuals to remain independent and live well within their communities.In addition to face‐to‐face care, you'll contribute to our Nurse Support Line and telehealth services providing support to clients across South Australia.
You'll also have the chance to be involved in our specialised continence clinics and work closely alongside Neurologists within outpatient clinic settings, providing integrated, client‐centred care.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete holistic nursing assessments and develop individualised care plansProvide direct clinical services (including continence, wound care, palliative support and catheter care)Work closely with MSWA's Allied Health teams to coordinate careFacilitate timely referrals to internal and external health servicesTravel throughout the community to support clients (pool vehicles available)Must-HavesAHPRA registration as a Registered NurseCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationNDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)Current C Class driver's licenceWorking with Children CheckNice-to-HavesExperience in palliative care and wound management.Experience in community or rehabilitation nursingExposure to neurological conditionsKnowledge of Disability Services Legislation and the NDISWhy You'll Love Working HereAs a not‐for‐profit organisation, MSWA offers salary packaging options that allow you to take home more of your pay by reducing your taxable income.
