With established workshop and site based operations, SMW Group delivers reliable, compliant and experienced crews to meet operational demands across the region.We are currently seeking experienced Riggers to join our shutdown and maintenance teams across multiple sites in Central Queensland.
These roles will see you working within established crews, supporting planned shutdowns, breakdown response and ongoing maintenance activities in heavy industrial environments.In this role, you will be responsible for performing dogging and rigging duties in line with lift plans and site procedures, safely moving and positioning equipment and structural components,



and working closely with mechanical and maintenance teams to support efficient execution of work scopes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dogging and rigging activities in accordance with lift studies and plansSafely sling, lift and position equipment and materialsInterpret lift plans and ensure safe load control practices are followedWork collaboratively within shutdown and maintenance crewsMaintain compliance with site safety systems, permits and proceduresContribute to achieving shutdown targets and minimising downtimeAbout YouHigh Risk Work Licence – RiggingPrevious experience in shutdowns, maintenance or heavy industry environmentsStrong understanding of safe rigging practices and load controlAbility to work effectively in a team and follow directionCommitment to safety and complianceWhat We OfferOngoing shutdown and maintenance opportunitiesCompetitive hourly ratesWork across multiple sites in Central QueenslandSupportive team workplace
