Pop-Up Therapy is looking for a warm, reliable and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team.We are a paediatric occupational therapy service supporting children and young people across their everyday environments, including homes, schools and the community.
Our approach is strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming and focused on helping children build skills, confidence and participation in the things that matter to them.This is a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and families and would like to develop their skills within a supportive paediatric OT team.About the Role:Working under the supervision and delegation of our Occupational Therapists, you will support children and young people to work towards their therapy goals.Your role will include:Delivering individual therapy sessions and implementing programs developed by the supervising OTSupporting children to practise skills relating to daily living, fine and gross motor development, sensory processing and social participationBuilding positive relationships with children, young people and their familiesSupporting families to implement strategies and home programs as directed by the OTPreparing therapy activities, equipment and resourcesCompleting session notes and communicating relevant observations and progress to the supervising OTTravelling to homes,
schools and community locations for appointmentsAbout you:We would love to hear from you if you:Have completed, or are currently completing, a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, Individual Support (Disability), Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or a related qualificationHave experience working with children and/or people with disabilityAre warm, engaging and confident building relationships with children and familiesHave strong communication and organisational skillsAre comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive teamHold a current Queensland driver's licence and have access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insuranceHold, or are able to obtain prior to commencement, a current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.Requirements:Current unrestricted Queensland driver's licenceSatisfactory reference check.Why join Pop-Up Therapy?
