As a Disability and Psychosocial Support Specialist, you will make a positive impact in the lives of our clients through your compassionate, professional and supportive approach.You will be supporting clients with complex and diverse needs, including:Schizophrenia and other psychosocial disabilitiesAcquired Brain Injury (ABI)
and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)Intellectual disabilityBehaviours of concern and complex behavioursMental health and emotional regulation difficultiesComplex support needs requiring a high level of consistency and structureWe Are Specifically Looking For Someone WhoHas demonstrated experience working with people with schizophrenia and/or complex psychosocial disabilitiesHas experience supporting people with ABI/TBIHas experience supporting people with intellectual disabilityHas practical experience working with behaviours of concernUnderstands positive behaviour support and can follow Behaviour Support Plans and individualised support strategiesCan remain calm, professional and consistent during periods of distress, escalation or challenging behaviourIs confident working within qualified boundaries while building genuine and trusting relationships with clientsIs willing and comfortable providing personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing, continence support and other personal care requirementsIs passionate about advocating for vulnerable people and ensuring their voices are HEARDUnderstands the importance of dignity, choice, privacy, rights and promoting independenceIs reliable, emotionally resilient and able to work effectively as part of a teamThis is not an entry-level position.Due to the complexity of the clients you will be supporting, previous experience working with complex disability, psychosocial disability, ABI/TBI,
