Based at our Bendigo City Campus, this full time role will support students to build the practical knowledge, skilled skills and confidence needed to work effectively with individuals, families and communities affected by alcohol and other drug related issues.Location: Bendigo City CampusRole Type: Full time, ongoingRemuneration: $84,618 - $110,834 (plus 12% superannuation) - qualification dependentAbout The RoleAs a Community Services Teacher - Alcohol and Other Drugs, you will deliver high quality training and assessment that prepares students for meaningful work across the community services sector.
You will draw on your industry knowledge to connect theory with real world practice and help students develop the capability, judgement and professional behaviours required to support people affected by alcohol and other drug related issues.The role is mainly classroom based and will also include some work based delivery.
As our Alcohol and Other Drugs programs grow, you will also be required to deliver some evening courses.You WillDeliver engaging, industry relevant training and assessment in Alcohol and Other Drugs and related Community Services programsDeliver primarily classroom based training, with some work based and evening course deliveryCreate a safe,



inclusive and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgroundsUse practical examples and contemporary industry knowledge to bring course content to lifeAdapt teaching approaches and learning activities to meet different student needsMonitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback and supportCollaborate with industry and internal stakeholders to keep training relevant and responsive to workforce needsContribute to curriculum development, validation and continuous improvement activitiesMaintain accurate records and meet training package, regulatory and organisational requirementsWe Are Excited About You Because You HaveYou are a passionate educator and Alcohol and Other Drugs professional who can translate current industry expertise into practical, engaging learning.
You build positive relationships with students, colleagues and industry partners and are committed to helping learners develop the skills and confidence to succeed.Essential RequirementsCertificate IV in Training and Assessment, a higher vocational education qualification, or willingness to enrolCertificate IV or Diploma of Alcohol and Other DrugsDemonstrated and current industry experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs or a closely related community services settingStrong facilitation, communication and student engagement skillsThe ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and with varied learning needsHigh level knowledge of relevant legislation, community services and health issues affecting clientsHighly RegardedExperience delivering vocational education and training in Alcohol and Other Drugs or a related disciplineDemonstrated knowledge of Alcohol and Other Drugs legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks,
