health or life concernGenerous paid time off and holiday policies including paid parental leave and wellbeing leave10% discount with NIB Health insuranceAbout the roleAs the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in managing The Lounge & Garden and Radii Restaurant & Bar as a successful independent profit centre, through planning, organising, directing and controlling the Food and Beverage operation and administration.You will ensure maximum guest satisfaction is achieved and service is consistent with Hyatt International standards.Working in a team of 20, you will provide support in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations.Some of the responsibilities includeProvide leadership to a diverse team, ensure all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all timesHandle guest enquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient mannerAssist with creating and communicating the rosters and delegation of tasks and responsibilitiesAssist in controlling manning levels of the Restaurant in relation to occupancy, requirements, service quality and costsProvide training and onboarding support for new associates within the departmentLiaising with all necessary departments to ensure the productivity of the outlet is successful in its daily operationsQualificationsPrevious supervisory/managerial experience in a similar role or fast-paced environmentA current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificateExceptional people management and interpersonal skills along with strong communication skillsThe confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressureA strong attention to detail and the desire to produce high-quality operational and administrative outcomesThe ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5 star grooming standardsThe flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
