We're recruiting for a Sydney recruitment business that needs a hands on Finance Manager 3 days a week.
You'll be the senior finance person and the one the Managing Director relies on for accurate numbers.
It's not a role where you'll be stuck in one narrow area.
You'll be across financial control, compliance, a fortnightly contingent pay cycle and how the whole finance function runs.Key Responsibilities:Leading financial control, including month end close, cash flow and monthly reportingPreparing budgets and tracking actuals against forecast, with variance commentary the Managing Director can useProducing monthly commission reportsLodging payroll tax and BASCoordinating external audits and government reporting across NSW, QLD and ACT, including Scheme ****, Scheme 012 and GGCS**** panelsManaging insurances, WHS and workers compensationOverseeing the fortnightly pay cycle for 100+ contractors and contingent staff, including superMentoring the Accounts Assistant,



who looks after contractor pay and is keen to growImproving processes and systems as the business evolvesWhat We're Looking For:CPA or CA qualifiedHands on experience in a small to mid size business, not just oversightContingent pay cycle, debtor finance or audit experienceRecruitment or labour hire background is a plusMYOB experience preferred, plus exposure to Astute, JobAdder, Employment Hero and DextArticulate and skilled, with the confidence to represent the business to consultants and clientsConsistent and dependableWhy ApplyThree days a week in a central CBD officeReal ownership of the function and a weekly catch up with the Managing DirectorA small, close team of consultants plus two remote team membersA keen Accounts Assistant to mentor and developVariety across audits, government reporting, payroll and budgeting
