The CompanyA large and highly regarded organisation is currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join their finance team on an initial 8-month fixed-term contract.This organisation operates within a complex and cooperative environment, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, financial stewardship, and delivering meaningful insights that support effective decision-making.Working within a high-performing finance function, you will partner with stakeholders across a diverse portfolio, providing financial support, analysis, and advice that helps drive operational and strategic outcomes.The RoleThis is a broad Finance Analyst position that blends financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement.You will support a portfolio of business units, providing accurate financial information, investigating variances, monitoring budgets, and assisting stakeholders to better understand and manage their financial performance.
The position will suit someone who enjoys working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, translating numbers into meaningful insights and recommendations.You will be naturally analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify trends, investigate anomalies, and provide practical financial guidance.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly engage with a broad stakeholder group and develop trusted working relationships across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting the preparation,



maintenance and monitoring of budgets and forecasts across a diverse stakeholder portfolioPreparing monthly management reports, analysing financial performance and providing variance commentaryInvestigating financial anomalies and proactively identifying risks and opportunitiesProviding financial advice and support to stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting and financial management mattersProducing accurate and insightful financial reports to support decision-makingAssisting with month-end processes, including reconciliations, journals and general ledger activitiesBuilding strong relationships with stakeholders and acting as a trusted point of contact for financial mattersContributing to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing reporting, efficiency and financial controlsSkills & ExperienceDegree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience in a Finance Analyst, Budget Analyst, Management Accountant or similar roleStrong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis experienceExperience managing financial accounts, reconciliations and month-end activitiesAbility to interpret financial information and provide meaningful insights to stakeholdersAdvanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse financial dataExperience using ERP and financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, TechnologyOne or similarStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse stakeholder groupFor more information, contact Sam Bott at ******.
